This discography is an overview of the musical works and solo projects of the musician Brian May . According to sources and record awards, he has sold more than 600,000 records in his career, including over 500,000 in his home country alone.   • 1994: Guitar in New Damage , a song recorded together with Soundgarden (album Greenpeace - Alternative NRG ).
  • 1995: One Rainy Wish from the Jimi Hendrix tribute album In from the Storm ; the title also appeared on May's 1998 solo album Another World .
  • 1996: Brian May wrote, produced and played the two tracks Il Colosso (together with Jerry Hadley , Sissel, 'Just William') and What Are We Made Of? For the film The Adventures of Pinocchio . (with Sissel ).
  • 1996: FBI (album Twang! A Tribute to Hank Marvin & The Shadows ); Also released on May's single On My Way Up in 1998.
  • 1998: My Boy (Compilation Lullabies with a Difference ); the song was recorded in 1982.
  • 2000: Have a Cigar , a cover version of the Pink Floyd song, together with the Foo Fighters (album Music from and Inspired by Mission Impossible 2 ).

  • 1969: Single Earth / Step on Me by the previous Queen band Smile , which also included Roger Taylor and Tim Staffell .
  • 1973: Single I Can Hear Music by Larry Lurex , a joint publication with Freddie Mercury and Roger Taylor. (The song is also included in the box set Freddie Mercury - The Solo Collection , 2000, and in the compilation Lover of Life, Singer of Songs - The Very Best of Freddie Mercury Solo , 2006).
  • 1982: LP Gettin 'Smile (Japan) by Smile: Doing Alright , Blag , April Lady , Polar Bear , Earth , Step on Me . These six tracks are also included on the 1997 CD Ghost of a Smile , which was released in the Netherlands .

Other Projects

Producer and writer

  • 1967 (recording): Brian May played guitar and sang backing vocals on the three songs Appointment , She Was Once My Friend and I Need Time by The Left Handed Marriage . Together with Bill Richards, who also wrote the other two songs, May is co-author of I Need Time . These tracks were recorded in 1967 and were released on the album Crazy Chain in 1993 (the rest of the tracks on the album are from 1993).
  • 1983: May produced the album Lettin Loose by Heavy Pettin together with the Munich sound engineer Mack .
  • 1986: May is the producer of the album Cancel of Minako Honda ; it contains u. a. the title Roulette (the Japanese version of John Deacon's No Turning Back ).
  • 1987: May wrote and produced the tracks Golden Days and Crazy Nights for Minako Honda single releases ; He can also be heard on guitar on both songs. Japanese versions of the pieces appeared in Japan.
  • 1987: Brian May produced the album Bad News by the joke heavy metal band of the same name , which was specially compiled for some films in the BBC TV series The Comic Strip Presents . The record includes a cover version of Bohemian Rhapsody (with backing vocals by Brian May and John Deacon) and Conversations with May ( Life with Brian ). He also produced the Bad News single Cashing in on Christmas with Bad News on the B-side, which he also plays guitar on.
  • 1987: He produced the album Talking of Love for Anita Dobson , who would later become his second wife . May also wrote most of the tracks, played guitar and sang the backing vocals. In I Dream of Christmas played John Deacon Bass.
  • 1988: May is also the producer of Anita Dobson's single, In One of My Weaker Moments , on which he also played guitar. The song comes from the musical Budgie with Dobson in the lead role.
  • 1989: In support of the 'British Bone Marrow Donor Appeal', an organization that supports bone marrow donation for leukemia sufferers, Brian May produced a new version of the Queen's title Who Wants to Live Forever with the two children Ian & Belinda ; different versions were released as 7 "and 12" singles. May played guitar, John Deacon bass and Roger Taylor drums during the recording.
  • 1990: May wrote and played the music for Shakespeare's tragedy Macbeth in the Riverside Theater production.
  • 1991: The Stonk by Hale and Pace and the Stonkers was produced by Brian May. He also plays guitar, Roger Taylor drums. The single, which reached number one on the UK charts, was a charity project in aid of the British charity Comic Relief .

  • 1988: Guitar in Love Lies Bleeding (She Was A Wicked, Wily Waitress) by Roger Taylor's band The Cross (album Shove It ).
  • 1989: Guitar in Love Train by Holly Johnson (album Blast ).
  • 1989: Guitar in Blow the House Down by Living in a Box (album Gatecrashing ).
  • 1989: Guitar in When Death Calls by Black Sabbath (album Headless Cross ).

  • 1992: On the charity album by Pavarotti and Friends , recorded live in Modena on September 27, 1992, he played guitar for the songs Too Much Love Will Kill You and La donna è mobile (from Verdi's opera Rigoletto ).
