German Television Award / Best Documentation / Report

This article lists the nominations and the winners of the German Television Award in the categories of Best Documentation and Best Reportage since its introduction in 1999. The winners will be determined in a secret vote by an independent jury.

Since 2016, the two categories have represented the joint category Best Documentation / Reportage .

history

The categories Best Documentation and Best Reportage were awarded individually from 1999 to 2014. After a reform in 2015/2016, the two categories have been combined in the category Best Documentation / Reportage since 2016 .

Every year three or five nominations will determine a winner. The first award winner was in the category Best Documentation ARDs and SWRs The Candidate and in the category Best Reportage Sat.1s 24 hours: Endstation Wien - The corpses from Sensengasse , which were awarded at the German Television Prize 1999 . The last winner so far in the category Best Documentation / Reportage is ZDF's Das Schicksal der Kinder von Aleppo - Neue Heimat Deutschland from the series " Auslandsjournal - die doku", which was honored at the 2017 German Television Prize.
