As part of the formerly independent municipality of Frönsberg in North Rhine-Westphalia, Ebberg has been part of the city of Hemer since January 1, 1975 . The settlement is located in the Stephanopel valley in the southeast of the city. Neighboring settlements are Heppingsen , Heppingserbach , Beckmerhagen and Hultershagen .

Ebberg lies on the Becksiepen brook , which flows into the Heppingser Bach in the south of the settlement . To the east of the residential buildings is the Frönsberg cemetery.
