The 2017/18 season was the 79th season of the highest Norwegian ice hockey league , the GET-ligaen . Champion was for the seventh time in the club's history Storhamar Hockey , which prevailed in the final series with 4-1 wins against Lillehammer IK .

mode

In the main round, each of the ten teams played a total of 45 games. The eight best-placed teams qualify for the playoffs in which the champions are played out. The last two placed must compete in the relegation against the first two placed in the second division. Each team receives three points for a win after regular time, two points for a win after overtime or shootout, one point for a defeat after overtime or shooutout and zero points for a defeat after regular time.
