The 13th season of the German casting show Germany’s Next Topmodel was broadcast on the private broadcaster ProSieben from February 8, 2018 . The final took place on May 24, 2018 in the Düsseldorf ISS Dome . The season winner was Toni Dreher-Adenuga .

The 13th season has aired since February 8, 2018. Unlike in previous seasons, the winner appeared on the cover of Harper's Bazaar magazine instead of the cover of Cosmopolitan . In addition to Heidi Klum, the jury members were again Michael Michalsky and Thomas Hayo . As in the last two seasons, there were two teams led by Michalsky and Hayo. As catwalk trainer for Team White (Michalsky) were again Nikeata Thompson worked for Team Black (Hayo) took Papis Loveday this task. At a casting in Munich , 50 applicants were selected by Michalsky and Hayo, they flew to the Caribbean and had to compete in a photo shoot with Rankin and a catwalk run. Klum selected 29 candidates for the next round.

In episode 3, the models moved into two apartments in Los Angeles , episode 4 dealt with the obligatory makeover. Caro Daur was a guest judge in episode 5. Episode 6 was about music. After the candidates had made a video in which the rapper Brooke Candy was a guest judge, a dance battle between the teams with guest judge Dennis Jauch followed. The final walk took place as a team choreography for a performance by Cro . In episode 10, the remaining candidates moved into a villa in Los Angeles. The casting for the advertising campaign for Gilette Venus was won in episode 11 by Christina.

The candidates Klaudia and Toni were invited by Klum to the amfAR gala. Wolfgang Joop , already a jury member in seasons 9 and 10, was invited as a guest juror in episode 13. In episode 14, the participants were photographed with the Brazilian supermodel Alessandra Ambrosio . In episode 15, dubbed the semi-finals, the cover shoot for Harper's Bazaar took place. The five remaining candidates completed the decision walk in haute couture style in dresses by Jean-Paul Gaultier . Christina, Juliana, Pia and Toni were voted into the final by Klum.

The finale took place on May 24, 2018 in the Düsseldorf ISS Dome and was broadcast on ProSieben a few minutes later. The show was opened by the magician Hans Klok . After the walk with the drag queens already known from episode 14 , Christina was eliminated in fourth place. This was followed by the walk of the top 20 candidates, the participants from Team Thomas walked to a performance by Cro during a performance by Shawn Mendes , Michalski's team . The Personality Award , are coordinated for the selected Internet between three of Team Thomas and Team Michael candidates could, won Klaudia. After a vertical catwalk , Pia was eliminated in third place. The remaining two candidates competed with Rankin in a photo shoot during an appearance by Wincent Weiss . Audience ratings

The market share in the advertising-relevant target group of the fourth episode was the highest value since the final in 2013. The episode broadcast the following week had its weakest market share since April 2016.

Let's Face Reality - From the catwalk to life

For the semifinals, on May 17, 2018, ProSieben published the four-part web series Let's Face Reality - From the catwalk to life . It has a running time of approximately 45 minutes per episode. Seven former GNTM participants will be accompanied in their everyday model life, their professional and private side will be shown, allowing insights behind the scenes of the modeling business.
