Hülscheid is a district of the municipality of Neunkirchen-Seelscheid in the Rhein-Sieg district .

location

Hülscheid lies on the slopes of the Bergisches Land . Neighboring towns are Birkenfeld in the west, Brackemich in the north, Hasenbach in the east and Krawinkel in the south.

history

Until 1969 the village belonged to the municipality of Neunkirchen .

In 1830 Hoelscheidt had 126 inhabitants. In 1845 the village had 135 Catholic residents in 24 houses. In 1888 there were 125 residents in 29 houses.

In 1901 94 people lived in Hülscheid. In addition to the farming families Eischeid, Franken, Hoscheid, Köndgen, Kurtenbach (6), Roland, Schröder and Steimel, the following professions are recorded: Farrier Conrad Arnolds, shoemaker Peter Himpeler, trader Peter Himpeler, shoemaker Wimar Klein, bricklayer Peter Josef Köchner, shoemaker Heinrich Merten , Wheelwright Peter Wirtz and haberdashery dealer Sebastian Wirtz.
