Final (men - hall)
SC DHfK Leipzig - ASK Forward Berlin 19:18
(February 21, 1960)
Both teams started the game at a fast pace without one team being able to gain an advantage. At Leipzig the technical elegance shone, at the ASK the fight was in the foreground. After 20 minutes, the game of the DHfK prevailed, the Leipzig had shot out a 10: 6 lead. Paul Tiedemann rose to be an outstanding director. In the second half the DHfK team managed to extend their lead even further, meanwhile they increased their lead to 14: 9. But then the men around Paul Tiedemann suddenly lost their line and made several mistakes. The ASK players tore the game to themselves, caught hit after hit and reached the unexpected equalizer at 16:16 at the beginning of the final quarter of an hour. However, that was the sign for the DHfK to return to its own qualities. They took advantage of the ASK player Liedtke's two-minute penalty and quickly pulled away again to 18:16. But the ASK team did not give up yet, in the last minute of the game they came up again to 18:19. In the last second, Hebler had the chance to equalize, but Leipzig goalkeeper Fischer mastered his violent throw and secured his team the title.

Endgame (men - field)
ASK Vorwärts Berlin - SC Lok Leipzig 14:12 (7: 7)
(September 25, 1960)
At the beginning the men of SC Lok had play advantages and were 4-2 goals in the front after 12 minutes. In this phase, Peter Kretzschmar was the outstanding director on the field. On the other hand, the ASK had defensive difficulties and the ball was held forward for too long. It was only after a quarter of an hour that the men around Waldemar Pappusch had caught up and brought calm into their own ranks. In the 17th minute, the ASK reached the 4: 4 for the first time through Klaus Hebler. Up to the end of the first half, both teams accelerated the pace, and with increasing length of the game the routine of ASK Vorwärts prevailed. At the break the score remained undecided. In the second part of the game, the action initially swayed back and forth, neither team managed to break away. It was only in the 41st minute that ASK managed to throw out a 2-goal lead for the first time with 11: 9. Although the Leipzigers were able to shorten them twice to 10:11 and 12:13, but in the last five minutes the ASK pulled away with two goals and finally secured the 14:12 final result.
