Heribert Wahl

Heribert Wahl (born July 19, 1945 in Ravensburg ) is a German Roman Catholic theologian , pastoral theologian , psychologist , pastoral psychologist , psychoanalyst and retired university professor.

Life

After attending the humanistic Spohn grammar school in Ravensburg, Wahl studied theology in Tübingen and at the Institut Catholique de Paris in Paris. He graduated as a graduate theologian in 1970. This was followed by a degree in psychology in Munich with a diploma in 1974. In 1978 he was awarded a Dr. theol. PhD . During his studies from 1965 to 1978 he received a scholarship from the German National Academic Foundation . From 1975 to 1984 he trained as a psychoanalyst in Freiburg and Munich .

After clinical-therapeutic and psychological-scientific work, he worked from 1980 to 1997 as an academic councilor or senior councilor at the chair for pastoral theology at the Ludwig Maximilians University in Munich . This was followed in 1993 by his habilitation in pastoral theology and appointment as a private lecturer at the Catholic-Theological Faculty in Munich. Since 1997 he has been professor of pastoral theology at the Trier Theological Faculty , and in 2010 he retired.
