The Inge Taler mill is a former on Rodebach preferred water mill with an undershot waterwheel in Selfkant , a rural community in North Rhine-Westphalia Heinsberg district .
geography
The Ingentaler Mühle is located on the right side of the stream in Peter-Kreins-Straße 6 in the Süsterseel district in the Selfkant municipality. The area on which the courtyard and mill building stands is approx. 52 m above sea level . Neighboring mills are above the Roermolen in Jabeek and below the Istrater mill in Süsterseel.
Waters
Up until the last century, the Rodebach supplied fourteen mills with water. The stream begins at a retention basin near Siepenbusch in the town of Übach-Palenberg at an altitude of 105 m above sea level. The Rodebach has a length of 28.9 km to its confluence with the Geleenbeek near Oud-Roosteren in the Netherlands . The mouth height is 29 m above sea level. history
Very little history is known about the Ingentaler Mühle. It is entered on the map of Tranchot 1804/05. In the 19th century the name “Ingendahls Mühle” appears several times. The mill works as a grain mill with two grinding speeds and as an oil press with one press. It was part of an agricultural property that is still cultivated today. At the earlier time nor the running stone reminiscent of the pug mill . It is not known how long the mill was in operation.
