Yakov Georgievich Vladimirov
Jakow Georgijewitsch Wladimirow ( Russian Яков Георгиевич Владимиров ; born July 22, 1935 in Moscow ) is a Russian chess composer . He is a candidate for technical sciences and when he retires he still works as a lecturer at the Moscow Aviation Institute .
Chess composition
Vladimirov published his first assignment in 1955. He is a universal chess composer and has mastered almost all genres and styles. He was particularly successful in the area of three-move and multi-move, but also in self-mate. His achievements in four-passers are dominant. Together with Lev Loschinski , thanks to his universality, he made a significant contribution to the success of his country by coping with even complex, given topics in the team world championship.
Until a few years ago he was team world champion in solving chess problems and studies.
In 1965 Vladimirov was appointed International Chess Composition Referee . Since 1988 he has been the grandmaster of chess composition . He is an Honored Master of Sports of Russia.

Vladimirov has worked for a long time in his country's chess composition commission, most recently as chairman. For about 40 years he has been the editor of various magazines: 64 - schachmatnoje obosrenije , bulletin of the central chess club , Schachmatnaja lomposizija . He is actively involved in other magazines: Uralsky problemist , Sadatschi i etjudy . For about a decade he represented his country in the PCCC .
