White moves and wins

Template: checkerboard / maintenance / new

Solution:

If Black succeeds in simplifying the game, the minor material disadvantage is irrelevant.
1. Kf8 – g8 This king fork leaves little room for maneuver. Rh7 – h6 After 2. Kg7 there would now be the excuse Rd6.
2. Nd1 – f2 Rh6 – f6 Black meets the threat of 3. Kg7 with simplification.
3. Kg8xh8 Kf5 – g6 This withdrawal attack wins the piece back.
4. Nb8 – d7 Rf6xf2
5. Ra8 – g8 + Kg6 – h6 The f- file was taboo for the king because the spit Rf8 + then wins rook and game.
6. e5 Nd7-Tf2 f6
7. Rg8-g6 + Tf6xg6
8. Ne5-f7 matt

However, to doubt the correctness of this study. As Siegfried Hornecker found out, Black appears after 2.… h4! 3. Kg7 Re6 4. Kxh8 h3 5. Kg7 h2 to be able to save in the draw harbor.
