Cornelis Goldschmeding

Cornelis (Cor) Goldschmeding (* July 7, 1927 , † February 5, 1995 ) was a Dutch chess composer .

Life

Goldschmeding studied economics in Amsterdam . He then worked for the Chamber of Commerce, initially as an adjunct in Amsterdam, and finally in Arnhem as secretary ( director ). He was on the board of the Nederlandse Bond van Probleemvrienden and a member of the board of the PCCC .

Chess composition

Goldschmeding published his first assignment at the age of 12. His complete works include around 700 chess problems, the majority of which are two-move. Goldschmeding was also very successful with three-moveers and occasionally with multi-moveers, auxiliary mattes and fairy tale chess problems . In 1958 he was appointed International Chess Composition Judge. He had been the grand master of chess composition since 1988. The following task is typical of his work.
