Wieland Bruch

Wieland Bruch (born May 20, 1961 in Berlin ) is a German grandmaster for chess composition .

Chess composition

Since 1979 Bruch has published around 400 chess compositions. Around 300 of these received tournament awards, including more than 160 prizes. His original domane was the two-move. Lately he has increasingly turned to the composition of chess studies .

A logical problem with three-time removal of white farmers d5 and white barrier-change combination in respect of the cells e3 and e4.

At the 1st individual world championship (WCCI) 1998-2000 Bruch won the silver medal in the three-man division, at the third WCCI 2004-2006 he won the bronze medal in the two-man division.

In 1991 Bruch discovered a new theme belonging to the white line combinations , which Herbert Ahues later named Bruch's line combination. Bruch is the author of numerous specialist articles. In 1996 he was appointed International Chess Composition Judge. Bruch has worked for the Swiss art chess magazine idee & form since 2002 .

Life

From 1977 to 1982 Bruch studied music in Berlin. At the piano competition in Budapest in 1986, Bruch won a place in the final round. He works as a pianist and piano teacher . He lives in Frankfurt (Oder) , is married and has two daughters.
