Carlos Alberto Carvalho dos Anjos Júnior , better known as Juninho , (born September 15, 1977 in Salvador , Brazil ) is a Brazilian football player.

Career

The 1.74 meter tall striker began his career with the club EC Bahia , he was under contract for three years from 1996 to 1998. In 2002 he turned his back on Palmeiras São Paulo after playing 55 league games with the club. He moved to the Japanese club Kawasaki Frontale , where he was under contract for eight years. In his first two years in Japan he was in the club's second division, taking part in 78 league games. After two years, he rose to the top division of the same club in 2005 and played 207 league games and scored 110 goals. In 2007, he expressed his plan to stay in Japan and acquire Japanese citizenship, but given the difficulty of the Japanese language, he gave up and returned to Brazil. He has been under contract with SD Juazeirense since 2015 .
