Canton of Drulingen

Location of the canton of Drulingen in the arrondissement of Saverne and in the department of Bas-Rhin

The canton Drulingen was 2015 a French constituency in the Arrondissement Saverne in the Bas-Rhin in the region Alsace .

history

The canton was founded on March 4, 1790 as part of the establishment of the départements as part of what was then the "District of Strasbourg ". Later he belonged to the newly founded "District Sarre-Union ". With the founding of the arrondissements on February 17, 1800, the canton was redesigned as part of what was then the arrondissement of Saverne. From 1871 to 1919 there was no further subdivision of the " Zabern District " (French: Saverne ). On June 28, 1919, the canton again became part of the Saverne arrondissement. On March 22, 2015, the canton was dissolved. All municipalities now belong to the canton of Ingwiller .

The canton bordered in the north on the canton Rohrbach-lès-Bitche in the arrondissement Sarreguemines in the department Moselle ( Lorraine ), in the east on the canton La Petite-Pierre , in the south on the canton Fénétrange in the arrondissement Sarrebourg in the department Moselle and in the west and north to the canton of Sarre-Union .
