Against the champions of the Regionalliga West , Sportfreunde Lotte , Kocak's team had to admit defeat after a 2-0 defeat in the second leg in front of a home crowd.

On July 3, 2016, Kocak was presented as the new coach of the second division club SV Sandhausen - he succeeded Alois Schwartz , who had switched to 1. FC Nürnberg . On October 8, 2018, Kocak was released.
