Klaus Meine (born May 25, 1948 in Hanover ) is the singer of the hard rock formation Scorpions and has played a key role in writing the lyrics and has also been involved in songwriting since the late 1980s .

Life

Mine went to elementary school in Langenhagen and then completed an apprenticeship as a decorator . After his apprenticeship, he worked as a delivery driver.

Klaus Meine first sang with the Hanoverian bands "Mushrooms" and "Copernicus". Since 1969 he has formed the head of the band Scorpions together with Rudolf Schenker . He also wrote and composed the band's most commercially successful song: Wind of Change , which was number one in eleven European charts in 1991. This song was also the most successful single worldwide in the same year.
