- In 1769, after a year of construction, the Temple of Antiquities was opened in the western part of Sanssouci Park in Potsdam . Frederick the Great had this small round temple built by Carl von Gontard near the New Palace north of Hauptallee to store his collection of antique art objects, coins and gems . With its counterpart , the friendship temple built in an axis south of the avenue , it is one of the earliest neo-classical buildings in Germany.
- The New Palais , which began at the end of the Seven Years' War on the west side of Sanssouci Park in Potsdam, will be completed after six years of construction. It is considered to be the last significant baroque palace complex in Prussia.
- After three years of construction, the parish church of St. Philippus & Jakobus in Mittelstrimmig ( Hunsrück ) was completed in 1769 .
- After nine years of construction, Blackfriars Bridge was opened over the Thames in London in 1769 .
- After only three years, the renovation of the Syon Park House Estate in the classicism style according to plans by Robert Adam , the father of British classicism and main exponent of the Adam style , is stopped for cost reasons.

- The 45-year-old Heinrich Carl Brandt (1724–1787) paints Countess Palatine Maria Amalie von Birkenfeld-Zweibrücken-Rappoltstein (1752–1828) as a bride (who later became Queen of Saxony).
- The 47-year-old Johann Heinrich Tischbein the Elder paints Prince Heinrich of Prussia (1726–1802).
- The 48-year-old Anna Dorothea Therbusch paints the oil painting Young Woman in Negligee .
- The 34-year-old Joseph Ducreux paints the Archduchess Maria Antonia of Austria, who later became Queen of France, in pastel on parchment.
- The 37-year-old Jean-Honoré Fragonard paints the oil painting Inspiration (German: The Poet ).
- Ozias Humphry , 27, is painting a miniature of Princess Charlotte using watercolors on ivory.
- The 51-year-old Alexander Roslin paints an oil painting of the Swedish court marshal John Jennings (1729–1773) and his siblings.
- The 36-year-old Johann Zoffany paints the oil painting The Drummond Family
- 45-year-old George Stubbs paints the oil painting The Milbanke and Melbourne Families .
- The 42-year-old Antoine Tassaert created the marble sculptures L'Amour prêt à lancer un trait and Cupido .
- The 30-year-old Christopher Hewetson made the marble busts of Charles Townley (1737–1805) and Sir Watkin Williams-Wynn, 4th Baronet (1749–1789).

- The 46-year-old Joshua Reynolds , first director of the Royal Academy of Arts , is welcomed by King George III. ennobled for his services.
