This is a list of German-language author's voices documented on sound carriers, preferably when presenting one's own works. Access to this list is given to every author whose voice has been published in German on a sound carrier at any time. Radio recordings, provided they did not result in further publication, cannot be considered.

This overview concentrates initially only on the "older age groups", whose voice recordings are relatively lucky considering the invention of sound recording, which was relatively new at the time and not as widespread as it is today, and the circumstances of the time:
