This list of members of the Upper Austrian Landtag (XXII legislative period) lists all members of the Upper Austrian Landtag in the XXII. Legislative period. The legislative period lasted from October 25, 1979 to October 27, 1985, the swearing in of the deputies took place on October 25, 1979. In the state election in 1979 there were almost no changes. Only the Social Democratic Party of Austria (SPÖ) lost a mandate to the Austrian People's Party (ÖVP), the Freedom Party of Austria (FPÖ) achieved the same level of mandate as in 1973. Of the 56 mandates, 23 belonged to the ÖVP, 23 to the SPÖ and 4 to the FPÖ. The Ratzenböck II state government elected by the state parliament had changed little compared to the previous government.

Functions

Landtag President

During the legislative period, the ÖVP provided the First President of the State Parliament due to its relative majority in mandate. With Johanna Preinstorfer , a woman took on this function for the first time in the Upper Austrian state parliament. The second president of the state parliament until October 21, 1982 was the SPÖ member Leo Habringer , who was elected to the state council on that day. Ferdinand Reisinger followed him at the same meeting . The function of the third president of the state parliament was traditionally occupied by the FPÖ. Alois Bachinger fulfilled this function throughout the legislative period .

Club chairmen

The position of club chairman in the ÖVP was initially held by Deputy Governor Gerhard Possart . He was replaced on October 30, 1980 by Rudolf Trauner , who had resigned as regional councilor. In the SPÖ, Friedrich Freyschlag took over the role of club chairman , Leo Habringer was his deputy until October 21, 1982 .
