List of judges at the European Court of Justice

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The European Court of Justice ( ECJ , officially just called the Court of Justice ) is the judicial body of the European Union . Since the Treaty of Nice, every member state has at least one judge sent to the Court of Justice. In order to ensure the efficiency of the enlarged Court of Justice, a grand chamber of eleven judges will be created to act as a panel instead of the plenary.

The Court currently consists of 27 judges and 11 advocates-general . Acting President is Koen Lenaerts . The names of the currently officiating judges are highlighted in bold.
