The list of world champions in natural track tobogganing includes all medal winners at natural track tobogganing world championships since it was first held in 1979. World champions are determined in the disciplines of single-seat men , single-seat women and double-seaters . In 2001, a team competition was held for the first time . This competition has been held regularly since 2005. The races are organized by the FIL . So far there have only been medal winners from four different associations: Austria, Italy, Russia (and previously the Soviet Union / CIS) and Poland. In the men's single-seaters, all medals awarded so far have only gone to starters from Austria and Italy.
Placement: Indicates the order of the athletes. This is determined by the number of gold medals. If the number is the same, the silver medals are compared and then the bronze medals won.
Name: gives the name of the athlete.
Country: Name the country for which the athlete started.
By: The year the athlete won the first medal.
Until: The year in which the athlete won the last medal.
Gold: states the number of gold medals won.
Silver: states the number of silver medals won.
Bronze: states the number of bronze medals won.
Total: states the number of all medals won.
Hints:
Medals won in the team competition are not included in the statistics of the most successful athletes.
