The 2007 MTV Australia Video Music Awards were presented on April 29, 2007 at the Acer Arena , Sydney , New South Wales , Australia . The third edition of the award was hosted by Fergie and Good Charlotte . Sophie Monk moderated the Red Carpet Show . Live occurred among others Pink , Silverchair , Billy Talent and Thirty Seconds to Mars on. Presenters also included Kristin Cavallari , star of the reality TV show Laguna Beach and the cast of the television series Dirty Sanchez .

Originally, Snoop Dogg was supposed to take part in the award ceremony as a co-host, but he was denied entry to Australia. This was due to a visa refusal by Kevin Andrews , the Minister for Immigration, Citizenship and Multicultural Affairs of Australia, who cited multiple drug law violations, arrests for assault and illegal possession of weapons.
