Nils Teixeira (born July 10, 1990 in Bonn ) is a German soccer player .

Career

societies

Teixeira is a son of Portuguese parents. In 2004 he moved from Bonner SC to the youth department at Bayer 04 Leverkusen . In the 2007/08 season played for the U-19 team of the factory club in the U-19 Bundesliga West . In the 2008/09 season , the then 18-year-old made two appearances for the U-23 team in the Regionalliga West .

For the 2009/10 season Teixeira was loaned to the third division at Kickers Offenbach . At the start of the round he made his first professional appearance against Erzgebirge Aue when he was substituted on by coach Hans-Jürgen Boysen in the 84th minute. In his first professional season, Teixeira won a place in the team. He played 33 of the 38 league games and the DFB-Pokal game against arch rivals Eintracht Frankfurt (0-3). In May 2010 he signed a one-year contract in Offenbach for the 2010/11 season . Also in his second year, the defensive player, who was mostly on the left, was one of the regulars at Kickers, who played for promotion to the 2nd Bundesliga for a long time, but missed the target of the season at the end of the season.

For the 2011/12 season Teixeira moved to the 2nd Bundesliga for FSV Frankfurt . The team of the Frankfurt district club was trained by Hans-Jürgen Boysen , who had brought him to Offenbach two years earlier. In his first second division season he was a regular on the left side of defense and was used in 29 league games and two cup games. In the next two years, too, he was mostly part of the permanent staff in the full-back positions and played 55 league games and four cup games.

For the 2014/15 season Teixeira went back to the 3rd division at Dynamo Dresden , where he received a two-year contract. In 2016 he signed another contract with Dynamo Dresden until June 30, 2017.

At the beginning of July 2017, Teixeria signed a two-year contract with second division Arminia Bielefeld . On June 19, 2018, the association announced that the contract with Teixeira would be terminated early on June 30, 2018.

On July 3, 2018, the Cypriot first division club AEL Limassol announced the signing of Teixeira.

National team

Teixeira went through all youth national teams from U-16 to U-20 . He played a total of 58 U-internationals and took part with the U-17 national team in the 2007 European Championship (5th place) and the 2007 World Championship (3rd place).

Awards

As a young talent, he was honored on September 12, 2007 by the German Football Association with the Fritz Walter Medal in bronze in the U-17 age group. The handover took place as part of an A international match in the Rheinenergiestadion in Cologne .
