Sebastian Tyrała (born February 22, 1988 in Racibórz ) is a German - Polish football player . For Borussia Dortmund he made his debut in the 1st Bundesliga in 2006 . After going through several U-selections of the DFB and taking part in the U-19 European Championship in 2007 , he played a game for the Polish national team in 2008 . As an attacking midfielder , in addition to the forward position, he also dominates the game on the flanks.

Career

Club career

Tyrała started playing football at BV Bad Sassendorf . At the age of eleven, he moved to Borussia Dortmund's D-Jugend and went through all youth teams. Even as a B-youth he made the leap into the Bundesliga squad of Borussia Dortmund at the age of 16. In preparation for the 2005/06 season , he tore the anterior cruciate ligament in his left knee during training in a duel with Jan Koller and had to take a six-month break.

Tyrała was awarded third place as "Young Player of the Year 2005" ( Fritz Walter Medal ) in the U-17 category ( B-youth ) from the DFB . In April 2005 he injured his medial meniscus again during training .

In preparation for the 2006/07 season , he was used in several test matches; He made his Bundesliga debut on the evening of September 22nd, 2006 in the away defeat against Borussia Mönchengladbach . Tyrała came on as a substitute in the second half. In the following years he was mostly used in the second team.

For the 2010/11 season Tyrała signed a contract with the second division promoted VfL Osnabrück . He played his first competitive game for VfL on August 13, 2010 in the DFB Cup game against 1. FC Kaiserslautern and scored his first goal for Osnabrück in this game. On August 22, Tyrała was also in the league opening game against MSV Duisburg on the field. On September 19, 2010 he scored his first second division goal for VfL Osnabrück. The VfL rose after the relegation games against Dynamo Dresden from the second Bundesliga. Then Tyrała went to the second division SpVgg Greuther Fürth . His contract, which ran until the summer of 2014, was not renewed due to several serious injuries.

In June 2014, Tyrała moved to third division club FC Rot-Weiß Erfurt , where he initially signed a one-year contract. After 37 appearances and four goals in his first year, he extended his contract runs until 2018. In his second year he came in 36 games and five goals and finished with Rot-Weiss Erfurt to make final rank .

In June 2017 he joined the second team of Mainz 05 and played 47 games in the Regionalliga Südwest .

Due to knee problems, Tyrała ended his professional career in 2019 and joined his youth club BV Bad Sassendorf. There he strengthens the coaching team and plays in the district league A.

National team

Tyrała played 16 games for the junior national teams of the DFB and scored five goals. Among other things, he took part in the U19 European Championship in Austria with the German team in 2007 . On November 21, 2008 he was appointed to the Polish national team, for which he made his debut against Serbia on December 14 . Between 2009 and 2010 he also played for the Polish U-21 national team .
