Peter Holland (born January 14, 1991 in Caledon , Ontario ) is a Canadian ice hockey player who has been under contract with Awtomobilist Yekaterinburg from the KHL since May 2019 .
Career
Peter Holland first played from 2006 to 2007 for the Brampton Battalion Midget AAA in a lower class Canadian junior league before the striker was selected in the first round of the OHL Priority Selection 2007 as eleventh overall by the Guelph Storm . In his rookie season with the team in the 2007/08 game year , Holland completed 62 games and scored 23 points. In the play-offs he was on the ice in ten games for the team and booked an assist . In his second season in Guelph, Peter Holland received significantly more playing time and he improved his offensive stats when he reached 67 points with 28 goals and 39 assists. He was the team's second best scorer after Matt Kennedy . Although Holland scored as many goals in the playoffs in four games, the Guelph Storm were eliminated in the first playoff round after four games and without a win.
In the NHL Entry Draft 2009 he was selected in the first round in 15th position by the Anaheim Ducks . In April 2010, the Canadian signed a three-year entry - level contract with the Californians. During the 2010/11 season , Holland served with the Guelph Storm alongside Taylor Beck and Michael Latta as one of three assistant captains. On April 7, 2011, Holland made his debut for Anaheim's then farm team , the Syracuse Crunch from the American Hockey League , in the game against the Norfolk Admirals , scoring one goal and two assists.
On November 5, 2011, Holland made his debut for the Ducks in the National Hockey League when he was used in the away game at the Detroit Red Wings and was on the ice for over eleven minutes. The left shooter scored his first goal in his third NHL appearance on November 11, 2011 against the Vancouver Canucks , when he defeated goalkeeper Roberto Luongo . The attacker spent most of the 2011/12 season on the farm team at the Syracuse Crunch, where he quickly established himself as one of the team's strongest offensive players. With 60 points scorer in 71 regular season games, Holland was the fourth-best rookie in the league; only Cory Conacher , Tyler Johnson and Jonathan Audy-Marchessault were more successful.
After he came to 21 appearances in the NHL in the 2012/13 season , he was transferred back to the Norfolk Admirals in the AHL at the beginning of the 2013/14 season . In November 2013 he was transferred to the Toronto Maple Leafs together with Brad Staubitz , while Anaheim received Jesse Blacker and a third- and seventh-round vote for the 2014 NHL Entry Draft .
In December 2016, the Maple Leafs handed him over to the Arizona Coyotes and in return received a success-based six- round vote for the 2018 NHL Entry Draft . In Arizona, the attacker ended the season and subsequently joined the Canadiens de Montréal as a free agent in July 2017 . Up until the end of November 2017, he worked exclusively in the Rocket de Laval farm team , before he was transferred to the New York Rangers ' cooperation partner , the Hartford Wolf Pack , in exchange for Adam Cracknell . During the rest of the season, the Canadian came to both the Wolf Pack in the AHL and the Rangers in the NHL. From the beginning of the 2018/19 season until February 2019, he then played exclusively in the AHL before he was transferred to the Chicago Blackhawks . In return, Darren Raddysh gave them to New York.
In May 2019 he left North America and moved to Awtomobilist Yekaterinburg in the KHL .

Holland took part in the World U-17 Hockey Challenge in 2008 with the selection of Canada Ontario . In six games he scored six points and won the gold medal. A year later, the striker was in the Canadian squad for the 2009 U18 World Junior Championship . In the course of the tournament, Holland made six appearances and posted a balance of five points. The team finished fourth after losing third place to Finland.
