Peter Lund (born December 30, 1965 in Flensburg ) is a German freelance director and author .

Life

Lund graduated from high school in Flensburg. He studied architecture in Berlin and has worked as a freelance director and author since 1985, among others in Braunschweig, Hanover, Darmstadt, Bremen, Hamburg, Basel, Innsbruck and Vienna. In 1985 he founded the Comp & Co group . From 1996 to 2004 he was a board member of the Neukölln Opera in Berlin. Since 2002 he has been a professor in the musical / show course at the Berlin University of the Arts .

In addition to his work as a music theater director, Lund distinguished himself as a writer by attempting to gain new aspects from the musical genre. Especially in the collaboration with the composers Thomas Zaufke and Wolfgang Böhmer , Lund puts contemporary and everyday reality on the stage, sometimes more realistic with The Miracle of Neukölln , Baby Talk , Life without Chris or My Avatar and Me , sometimes more cabaret with Die Krötzkesommen , Letterland and Held Müller . In his children's plays often he uses satirical adaptations of fairy tales or children's books as not Cinderella fits what , Puss alley cat or Maja and co . One of Lund's most successful works is his repeatedly performed children's play Hexe Hillary goes to the opera .
