Rayol-Canadel-sur-Mer is a French commune with 711 inhabitants (at January 1, 2017) in the Var department in the region of Provence-Alpes-Cote d'Azur . It belongs to the Arrondissement of Draguignan and the canton of La Crau .
Rayol-Canadel-sur-Mer is located on the French Mediterranean coast and on the Corniche des Maures between Le Lavandou in the west and Cavalaire-sur-Mer in the east. Until the 20th century, the municipality was exclusively forest with a few shepherds' huts. The seaside resort was only founded in 1925, and in 1949 Rayol-Canadel was spun off from the municipality of La Môle . The Domaine du Rayol within Rayol-Canadel today belongs to the Conservatoire du littoral and is therefore under nature protection.
