Zoë Straub (born December 1, 1996 in Vienna ), known as Zoë , is an Austrian singer and actress . She represented Austria at the Eurovision Song Contest 2016 in Stockholm .

Life

Zoë Straub is the daughter of Papermoon founder Christof Straub and model and singer ( Cinderella , now also Papermoon) Roumina Wilfling. At the age of four she attended the preschool of the Lycée Français de Vienne , came to the Lycée Français at the age of five and graduated with the Matura. In 2006, she moderated the show occasionally Close up of confetti TiVi . In 2007 she took part in the Kiddy Contest .

In 2015 she took part in the national preliminary decision Eurovision Song Contest - Who sings for Austria? with the song Quel Filou , which she had written together with her father, and she took third place. In 2015 she was seen in the ORF series Vorstadtweiber . As part of the Eurovision Song Contest 2015 , she appeared at the public viewing on Vienna's Rathausplatz .

On February 12, 2016 she took part in the Austrian preliminary decision for the Eurovision Song Contest 2016 with the song Loin d'ici and was selected by the audience and jury as a candidate for Austria . With her song she reached the final in the first semifinals. In the final she reached 13th place out of 26, and even 8th place in the public vote. In 2019 she took on the role of Camilla in the German Netflix film Isi and Ossi , which will be broadcast from February 14, 2020.

Private

Straub lives with her boyfriend in Vienna. In February 2020 she announced the birth of her first son 'Viktor'.
