Brâncovenești, Mureș
Brâncoveneşti (formerly Ieciu and Delavrancea; Hungarian: Marosvécs or Vécs; German: Wetsch) is a commune in Mureş County, Romania. It is composed of five villages: Brâncoveneşti, Idicel, Idicel-Pădure, Săcalu de Pădure and Vălenii de Mureş.
Within its area is the castle Marosvécs, which is the only castle to survive the 1241 Mongol Invasion of Hungary. At the time, it was referred to as Vécs. It guarded the salt mines of Gömör.
