Club Atlético Osasuna, usually known as Osasuna, is a Spanish Primera División football club based in Pamplona (Basque: Iruñea) in Navarre, founded in 1920.

Their home kit is red shirt, navy blue shorts, black socks with red back while their Away kit is white shirt, white shorts and white socks.

Osasuna is Basque for "health". Incidentally, the main clubs from the Basque Country do not sport Basque-language names.

History

2005-2006 Campaign

After a stellar 2005-2006 campaign in La Liga, Osasuna made history by finishing in a brilliant fourth place, synonymous with European Champions League in the following season. This achievement was made all the more dramatic by the suspense that was maintained until the last day of the championship in which Osasuna and Sevilla FC were both vying for the fourth place. Both teams eventually ended the season with the same number of points but Osasuna got through due to their better goal average.
