The voiced uvular nasal is a voiced consonant that rarely occurs in the world's languages.If it is articulated, the air flow in the mouth is blocked by a lock on the uvula and instead escapes through the nose (so that a nasal consonant is created).

There is this sound in Japanese, for example : The so-called monosyllabic “n” (written in Hiragana as “ん”, in Katakana as “ン”) is realized as “ɴ”.
