Commemoration
The names of the 3,200 fallen soldiers of the regiment in World War I were recorded on the oak paneling inside the Riesenberg chapel (114 chapel) on the top of the Riesenberg in Constance ( Lage ). The architect of the chapel, built in 1925, was Karl Gruber (architectural historian) , the altarpiece was made by Hans Franke (painter) . The chapel is maintained by the traditional community of the former garrison town of Konstanz . Since 1945 there has been a boulder next to the chapel, with which the fallen of the 14th regiment, the traditional successor to the 114er, is commemorated in the Second World War. Among the soldiers of the 6th Baden Infantry Regiment Kaiser Friedrich III. No. 114 were also volunteers from Switzerland.
