A! is the third studio album by German pop singer Alexa Feser . It was released on May 10, 2019 under the Warner Music Group label.

background information

In April 2017, Feser's second studio album was released, Zwischen den seconds . It was able to place itself at number 3 in the German album charts and has meanwhile been at number 1 in the iTunes charts . Feser's music became much better known through the previously released singles Medicine and Wunderfinder (together with the rapper Curse ).

Creation and publication

Feser began working on her third studio album in the summer of 2017. To get new inspiration, she changed her place of residence within Berlin . She moved from Alexanderplatz (where her second album was made) to the Berlin-Tiergarten district . All songs were written by her and Steve van Velvet. With this she already worked on the previous albums. The song Tempelhofer Feld was also written with the rapper Disarstar , who also takes on a part in the song. It's the only feature on the album.

The album has been available for pre-order since October 11, 2018. A! was released on May 10, 2019 via the Warner Music Group label . The album was released on CD , download and vinyl . A limited fan edition was also released. In addition to the album as digipak, this box contains a reversible poster, a patch, a key fob, a hand-signed autograph card and once the hand-signed “Lost Lines”, which contain unused lines of text from the song Mut .

Single releases

The song gold talk was released on October 11, 2018 as the first single from the album. Feser previously announced the song on her Instagram profile . On the same day, the music video was released on Feser's YouTube channel . So far, this has already been accessed over half a million times (as of May 2019). The first promo single from the album was released with courage on December 21, 2018. A related music video was released on January 4, 2019. This has been viewed over 700,000 times on YouTube so far (as of May 2019), making it one of the most famous pieces from the album. A music video was also released for the second promo single Atari T-Shirt , which was released on January 25, 2019. The music video came out three days later. The third promo single was the song Bei 10 on February 15, 2019 . The song 1A was released as the second single on March 1, 2019. The music video premiered on Youtube on the same day and has been viewed over 300,000 times (as of May 2019). It is the last of three videos shot in Japan in December 2018. This also includes the videos on Courage and Atari T-Shirt . The fourth promo single was the song Tempelhofer Feld , which she recorded together with the rapper Disarstar on April 5, 2019. The fifth and final promo single was the song Abgeholt two weeks later on April 19, 2019. On September 20, 2019 The third single from the album appeared with courage . This was released with a remix and the acoustic version. The song was previously released as a promo single.

content

All songs on the album are written in German. In addition to twelve new songs, the album also contains six acoustic versions. The song Nothing is as loud as the truth is only available as an acoustic version on the album. The songs on the album can be attributed to pop music . The album has a total length of 69 minutes and seven seconds, of which 44 minutes and 32 seconds are the first twelve tracks and 24 minutes and 35 seconds are the acoustic versions.

In the first song Talking Gold , Feser sings about the “precious moments in life that cannot be bought with any money in the world” and talks the world to gold with someone. The song itself has an “urban, sweeping, modern beat” and at the end there is a fadeout . In Picked it comes to that Feser was "picked up" by a man from a "single phase" for a relationship. The third song 1A is about the fact that in the "crazy times" there are still things that are very good or great ("one a"). In the fifth song Atari T-Shirt , Feser sings over a T-shirt from the Atari company , which makes computer games. This shirt was given to her by a bandmate she was in love with. This shirt is a metaphor for the time when Feser rehearsed a lot with her band and had the feeling that they (the band) could conquer the world. At 10 up again is Feser's longest song ever.
