The A-League 2014/15 was the 10th season of the Australian A-League professional football league . Each of the ten teams played each other three times. The regular season began on October 10, 2014 with the game Melbourne Victory against the Western Sydney Wanderers and ended on April 26, 2015 with the game between Melbourne Victory and the Central Coast Mariners . Due to the 2015 Asian Cup finals in Australia , there was a two-week summer break between January 6th and 24th, 2015. The final round began on May 1st and ended with the Grand Final on May 17th, 2015. Brisbane Roar was the reigning Premiership winner and Australian champion.
