Bagnowski Dwór [ baɡˈnɔfski ˈdvur ] ( German  Bagnower Wald , 1938–1945 Althöfen (Gut) ) is a small town in the Polish Warmian-Masurian Voivodeship and belongs to the Gmina Mrągowo ( rural community Sensburg ) in the powiat Mrągowski ( Sensburg district ).

Geographical location

Bagnowski Dwór is located in the middle of the Warmia-Masurian Voivodeship , six kilometers southwest of the district town of Mrągowo ( German  Sensburg ).

history

The manor district of Bagnower Wald was named in 1874 when it was incorporated into the district of Bagnowen ( Bagienice in Polish ). This was renamed in 1938 to “Althöfen District”, until 1945 it belonged to the Sensburg district in the Gumbinnen district (from 1905 Allenstein district ) in the Prussian province of East Prussia . On September 30, 1928, the Gutsbezirk Bagnower was forest in the rural community of Old Bagnowen (1938-1945 Althöfen , Polish Bagienice ) incorporated. On June 3, 1938 (officially confirmed on July 16), the village was renamed "Althöfen" (Gut).

When the whole of southern East Prussia was transferred to Poland in 1945 as a result of the war, the Bagnwoer Wald and Althöfen estate were also affected. It was given the Polish form of the name "Bagnowski Dwór" and is now a village in the Gmina Mrągowo (rural municipality Sensburg ) in the powiat Mrągowski ( Sensburg district ), until 1998 of the Olsztyn (Allenstein) voivodeship , since then it belongs to the Warmian-Masurian voivodeship .

Until 1945 the estate district Bagnower Wald resp. Althöfen on the evangelical and catholic side to Sensburg in the ecclesiastical province of East Prussia of the Evangelical Church of the Old Prussian Union or in the Diocese of Warmia . The relation to the district town still exists for both denominations, whereby the town now belongs to the diocese of Masuria of the Evangelical-Augsburg Church in Poland and to the Archdiocese of Warmia in the Polish Catholic Church .

Because of its remote location, Bagnowski Dwór can only be reached via land routes that lead here from Bagienice (Old Bagnowen , 1938–1945 Althöfen) or from Nowe Bagienice (New Bagnowen , 1938–1945 Borkenau) . There is no rail network connection.
