Location of the municipality

Armilla is the eighth largest municipality in the Spanish province of Granada . It belongs to the Comarca Vega de Granada and borders directly on the provincial capital Granada in the northeast . The municipality has 24,174 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2019).

Armilla's city patrons are San Miguel , San Isidro and Virgen del Rosario .

Among other things, the helicopter aerobatic team of the Spanish Air Force is stationed at the Armilla Air Force Base.
