Artur Stanislawowitsch Jerschow ( Russian Артур Станиславович Ершов ; born March 7, 1990 in Verkhnyaya Pyshma , Sverdlovsk Oblast , Russian SFSR , USSR ) is a Russian cyclist who competes on track and road .

Athletic career

Artur Jerschow was European track cycling champion in Cottbus in 2007 in the junior class single pursuit . In the following years he was successful several times with changing partners at European and world championships in team pursuit . In 2011 he won gold in the points race and in the team time trial as well as silver in the pursuit at the Summer Universiade in Shenzhen, China .

In 2012 Jerschow decided a stage of the Tour of Qinghai Lake for himself and in 2014 the Grand Prix Udmurtskaya Pravda . In 2015 he became world champion in the points race. In 2016 he won the team race of the Settimana Internazionale with the Gazprom-RusVelo team and in 2018 a stage of the Vuelta Ciclista a Costa Rica .
