content
The work took on its present form with the 6th edition in 1983. A transnational report provides information on relevant international agreements and European legal acts. The majority of the reports, which are constantly being edited by over 50 authors, are also available online. The subject of each country report is the areas of marriage law (material and procedural provisions on marriage and divorce, effects of marriage, matrimonial property law, maintenance), child law (descent, legitimation, adoption, maintenance, guardianship, custody), naming law , international private law (marriage, sonship, names) , international procedural law (jurisdiction, recognition and enforcement) and citizenship law (acquisition, loss, evidence) taking into account the relevant international agreements.
The country report on "Ferritanien", which appeared in 1974 on the occasion of Murad Ferid's retirement, represents a special contribution in the form of a parody .
The following is an overview of the countries covered. The similar collection on international inheritance law founded by Murad Ferid in 1955 and published by Beck-Verlag is also taken into account .
