↑ Super League 2019/20
The Brack.ch Challenge League 2019/20 is the 122nd season of the second highest Swiss league in men's football. Ten teams take part in the Challenge League. It begins on July 19, 2019 and is expected to end on May 20, 2020 with the 36th matchday. From December 16, 2019 to January 23, 2020, it will be interrupted by a winter break. At the end of February 2020 it was decided that due to the coronavirus measures, championship operations should be interrupted until the national team break until March 23rd.
mode
The Challenge League will be held for the eighth time with ten teams. Ten clubs each play four times against each opponent, twice in their home stadium and twice away. In total, each team plays 36 games. The first placed will be promoted to the Super League at the end of the season , the last placed to the Promotion League . The runner-up plays against the ninth place in the Super League a barrage for promotion to the top division.
Since the Promotion League 2019/20 was canceled on April 30, 2020, there is no promoter from the Promotion League and therefore no relegator from the Challenge League.
