history
Corinth was organized as a town on June 21, 1811. The original name for the area was Township No. 2, Fourth Range North of Waldo Patent (T2 R4 NWP); Ohio; New Ohio; Ohio Plantatio .
The settlement of the area initially under the names New Ohio and Ohio started in 1794 by Abner Tibbetts. More settlers followed in a short time.
