Lakeville is east of Penobscot County and borders Washington County . There are several lakes in the area of the town. The larger lakes include Lombard Lake in the north , Upper Sysladobsis Lake in the center, Junior Lake in the east and Sysladobsis Lake in the south . The surface is hilly, the highest point is the 301 m high Almanac Mountain .
