The Costa Magica in front of Geiranger

The Costa Magica is a cruise ship operated by the Costa Crociere shipping company . The ship was completed in 2004 and was the flagship until mid-2006 when it was replaced by the Costa Concordia .

history

The ship was built under the hull number 6087 at Fincantieri in Genoa and undocked on November 14, 2003. The ship was delivered in November 2004 and sailed under the Italian flag with its home port of Genoa .

The ship

style

Italian locations are the main theme of the ship. All restaurants, bars and lidos are named after such: Costa Smeralda , Portofino , Spoleto , Ostia Antica , Salento , L'Aquila , Isola Bella, Positano , Bellagio , Maratea , Vicenza .

The decks are also named after Italian baroque and renaissance painters ( Guercino , Giorgione , Tintoretto, Raffaello , Michelangelo , Leonardo , Caravaggio , Perugino , Veronese , Giotto , Tiziano , Tiepolo , Mantegna ).

Furnishing

In addition to a three-story theater (Teatro Urbino ), the ship has a spa area, four swimming pools, one of which has a water slide, whirlpools , a library , a casino, a gallery with drugstores, a jewelry store , boutiques and a duty-free shop and a photo studio .
