European Cup Winners' Cup (handball) 1989/90
The 1989/90 European Cup Winners' Cup was the 15th edition of the competition for European handball cup winners . The 28 participating teams qualified in their home countries through the national cup competition for the European Cup organized by the International Handball Federation (IHF) . For the automatically qualified defending champion TUSEM Essen , who competed in the national championship cup, the DHB cup finalist VfL Gummersbach moved up into the competition. In the final, the Spanish representative Teka Santander prevailed against the Swedish club HK Drott (22:24, 23:18).
