Eternal table of the Primera División
The Eternal Table of the Spanish Primera División is a ranking of all seasons of the highest national football league in Spanish club football since the first season in 1928/29. Only because of the Spanish Civil War was gaming suspended from 1936 to 1939. To date, Real Madrid , FC Barcelona and Athletic Bilbao are the last three founding members of the league to play continuously in the Primera División.
The table is calculated according to the three-point rule (win 3 points and draw 1 point), which was introduced in the Spanish upper house for the 1995/96 season .

Ranking according to the autonomous communities of Spain
The largest number of clubs in the more than 80-year history of the Primera División come from the autonomous community of Andalusia . Led by Sevilla FC and city rivals Betis Sevilla , each with a Spanish championship title, 11 clubs have played in Spain's top division so far.
The three most successful communities in terms of the number of championships are Madrid (42 titles), Catalonia (24 titles) and the Basque Country with a total of 10 championships. This is followed by Valencia , Andalusia and Galicia .
The club Atlético Tetuán , who played in the Primera División 1951/52 , is a special case . The association was based in the Spanish Morocco Protectorate , which belonged to Spain from 1912 until Morocco gained independence in 1956.
