The 1992/93 season was the 94th edition of the French Rugby Union Championship. It comprised 32 teams in the top division (today's top 14 ).
The championship was divided into three phases. It began with the qualifying round, in which eight teams played against each other in four groups. The four best placed in both groups advanced to the next round. The 16 remaining teams were divided into four groups of four teams each, the two best placed teams in these groups qualified for the quarter-finals. In the final, which took place on June 5, 1993 in the Parc des Princes in Paris , the two semi-final winners met and played for the Bouclier de Brennus . Castres Olympique prevailed against FC Grenoble and won the championship title for the third time.
