Hermann Ebeling (born April 6, 1928 ; † March 5, 2000 ) was a German theater actor and voice actor .

Life

After graduating from high school, Hermann Ebeling attended the Düsseldorf drama school under Gustaf Gründgens , followed by a theater engagement at the Düsseldorfer Schauspielhaus . For many years since 1958 he was at home on all three stages at the Staatliche Schauspielbühnen Berlin : At the Schillertheater he played in Lope de Vegas in 1961, among other things . and in 1972 a leading role in Raimund's The Alpine King and the Misanthrope . In the workshop of the Schiller Theater he appeared in 1961 in Die Kartothek von Różewicz and in 1968 (first appearance after a one-year break due to a complicated broken leg) also as a singer, accompanied by the guitarist Peter Liebert (1939-1970), in Jochen Ziem's piece Nachrichten aus the province . He then appeared in this theater several times as a singer, interpreted, among other things, in the program Actors sing songs by Rudi Goguel , Hanns Eisler , Wolf Biermann and accompanied Erich Schellow on a Brecht song on the guitar. At the Schlossparktheater he was seen as Joey in Pinters Die Heimkehr (German premiere) at the 1965 Theatertreffen and again at the 1966 Theatertreffen.

In addition to his stage work, Hermann Ebeling was a busy voice actor and lent his voice to prominent fellow actors such as Yul Brynner (in the TV series Anna and King of Siam ), Denholm Elliott ( Atom, Lies & What Comes After? ), Paul Freeman ( Raiders of the Lost Ark ) , Christopher Lloyd ( Wrong Game with Roger Rabbit ), Martin Landau ( The X Files - The Movie ), Ian Holm ( Mary Shelley's Frankenstein ), Malcolm McDowell ( Sunset ), Donald Sutherland ( Conspiracy In The Shadows ) and George Peppard ( The A-Team ). A younger audience, he should be the spokesman for Dagobert Duck in the series DuckTales (only first season, the second season was only dubbed six years after the first, in the second season "DD" was spoken by Joscha Fischer-Antze ) and as inventive Prof. Knox be familiar in Rolf Caucasus Fix and Foxi , he also gave his voice to Professor Clairembart in the animated series Bob Morane which ran on SuperRTL from January 1999.
