The infra fürth gmbh is a private law municipal enterprises of the city Fürth . It is the legal successor of Stadtwerke Fürth (STWF) and was privatized by its entry in the commercial register on August 19, 1999 retroactively to January 1, 1999 and converted into a limited liability company.
Group structure
On January 1, 2001, the supply , transport and service business areas were merged into infra fürth holding gmbh & co. kg , which holds 80.1% of the shares in infra fürth gmbh. This holding company was converted into a GmbH on January 1, 2012 . The remaining 19.9% of the supply sector has been owned by Bayernwerk AG (formerly E.ON Bayern) since the holding company was founded . The operating company of the Fürth baths, TFB Fürth Objektgesellschaft mbH & Co. KG, was renamed into the corporation infra fürth bäder gmbh on January 1, 2012, in which infra fürth holding gmbh with 94.8% and the company Rödl Bauunternehmung GmbH Nuremberg holds a 5.2% stake. All other subsidiaries belong entirely to the holding company and thus to the city of Fürth.

It operates four natural gas filling stations (2 × Nuremberg, Fürth and Langenzenn ) and the port of Fürth .

Infra fürth verkehr gmbh ( infra ) is responsible for urban traffic in Fürth , which was created by splitting off the traffic section from infra fürth gmbh.
For the implementation of the public transport in Fürth, the Verkehrs-Aktiengesellschaft Nürnberg (VAG) is provided with the underground system owned by the infra. The city buses (42 solo buses including three e-buses, 18 articulated buses, 2 sprinters, 7 bus trains and the associated 7 trailers as well as a touring bus and a 15m bus) belong to infra itself. With an average vehicle age of 6.6 years (as of 2011) the infra bus fleet is one of the most modern in Germany. The house supplier is EvoBus , based in Mannheim, since 1999 mainly Citaro buses have been purchased. Buses from MAN and Solaris were also procured. Since February 1, 2010, infra has also been the first transport company in Bavaria to use bus trains with the buses of MAN and Solaris. In addition, Infra Fürth has been the first transport company in Northern Bavaria to use a Solaris electric bus on Fürth's streets since 2018. Since 2020, two more E-Citaro e-buses, made by Evobus (Mercedes-Benz), have been running in Fürth city traffic.
A dynamic passenger information system (DFIS) has been installed at several stops, such as the Fürth main train station, the Rathaus bus station and the Klinikum Ost, West and other stops .

Tariff
The entire urban area of Fürth is located in tariff zone 200 of the Verkehrsverbund Großraum Nürnberg (VGN). Since January 1, 2012, the short-haul tariff (tariff level K) only applies up to the next but one tariff point. The new tariff level Z has been introduced for journeys throughout the city. In 2015 the tariff level "Z" was replaced by the letter "B".
