Cannes International Film Festival 1990
The 43rd Cannes International Film Festival 1990 took place from May 10 to May 21, 1990.
After the collapse of socialist Europe and the fall of the Berlin Wall , the festival showed two previously banned films in competition. The Czechoslovak contribution Das Ohr was made in 1970 and the Polish contribution Interrogation of a Woman in 1982. The discovery of these two films was one of the festival's outstanding achievements.
