The KamAZ-55111 ( Russian КамАЗ-55111 ) is a truck from the production of the Russian KAMAZ plant in Naberezhnye Chelny . The vehicle was the manufacturer's second standard tipper and was built in series from 1988 to 2012. A very similar predecessor exists with the KamAZ-5511.

In 1988, the truck was manufactured as a successor to the KamAZ-5511 . The main differences were the engine of 220 HP (162 kW) and the increased payload of 13 tons. Early models were still delivered with the older driver's cab of the KamAZ-5511, later lamps and the grille in particular were revised and the latter was painted in the same color as the car.

Different versions of the vehicles were made, but all as rear tippers with the same basic technical data. In particular, however, models were built for tropical regions, and there was also a version that is operational down to −50 ° C. The cab on all models can be folded forward for engine maintenance.

In later years of production, the diesel engine was revised so that it now delivered 240 hp instead of the previous 220 hp. Production ran until 2012. Since 1995, a successor has been built with the KamAZ-65115 . In addition, KAMAZ continues to manufacture heavy three-axle construction tippers, for example the KamAZ-6520 , which have very similar technical characteristics.

With the KamAZ-65111, a revised vehicle version with all-wheel drive has been offered since 2003 .
